I tried it and it was AMAZING! I doubled the recipe and made two half sheet pans… added frosting between the two layers and this cake came out soooo much more moist and just a great smooth tasting cake. All else is the same as mine. I have always used butter as well… butter makes it better! Great recipe.

I only had a 10in cake tin so I made a single layer cake with that. Worked perfectly!

With my son’s birthday coming up I had to revisit this recipe! Everything looks the same except this version now includes 1/2 cup unsalted butter. Just curious why the change and what difference it makes? Any advise is helpful 🙂
