Any thoughts on why and how to fix? I used Kerrygold unsalted. They were still incredibly rich and crumbly and delicious.

Hi Carol! Yes these absolutely can be! Bake them as directed, cool completely and cut into your desired sized cookies. You can then either drizzle them with melted chocolate or melt chocolate and dip the cookies! Place on parchment or wax paper to let the chocolate fully set before stirring!

I think I may have to adjust the bake time, mine were burnt on the underside borders and very dark brown underneath. This was at the 35 min mark. I may check on it next time at 25 mins.

I couldn’t wait for them to cool off, so I cut a little square and had a most delicious bite. The only tweak I had to do was a splash of milk due to the batter not binding around the paddle as described in the directions & it was the perfect remedy. I used unicorn colored coarse sugar. I wish I could load a photo. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe. It’s a keeper.!

The almond extract really makes these quite spectacular. Everyone that has then asks for the recipe. Thank you for sharing!

I reduced the recipe to 1/4 its original size so that I could bake it in the small square pan that fits in my Ninja Foodi. Now I have a delicious treat to serve to friends who stop by for tea 🙂
