The issue came to the glaze. It was way too thin. I added extra powdered sugar and still very thin. I poured it over against by better judgement and it was way too much. I left it to sit overnight hoping it would set, but it never did. I mopped it up and served them anyway, but next time would skip the glaze or modify the amount of milk. Will def try these again because the bars themselves are fire.

It’s was 1000% the hit of the night!!! Everyone was asking for the recipe. Love how the glaze crystallizes over the gooey blondes. Also I didn’t have maple extract so substituted vanilla. I only use my mixer for the butter sugar combo and just a spatula for folding everything together to not overmix. Thanks for supplying my new go to party dessert recipe!!

I whipped up a double-batch to donate to a medical benefit and after licking the bowl, I knew they were good, but after cutting and taste-testing them, I don’t want to give them up. Easy, delicious. Maple-nutty-glorious ness. So much for losing that Quarantine 15 this year.
