I usually skip the frosting because I’m too lazy to make it, and even without it they’re delicious. My friends always ask for a batch when we get together. Also, I usually use a mixture of regular brown sugar and Muscovado sugar! The molasses just elevates it in my opinion!

I did add close to an extra cup of flour as my dough was very sticky but reading other comments about humidity it does make sense. I had 4 leftover apples and decided to use them all as they were smaller, but I think the extra flour made the filling a bit sparse. They received rave reviews but next time I will take that into consideration. Also, I made the filling while the dough was rising as suggested. I thought preparing the apples would take up the time but I was left with about 10 minutes for the mixture to sit which liquefied the sugar. I think this also contributed to the filling being less gooey so I will mix it all together after the dough rises next time. Flavor excellent as aways

Ahhh thank you!! I always store these tightly wrapped in the fridge! When youre ready to eat one, pop a roll in the oven for 10 minutes or until warm!
