Last time we had banana-bread-ripe bananas, i used the wrong recipe and my mom disliked the bread:/ So this time I kept putting off the baking until I find the perfect recipe. I searched for two days hoping to find a recipe with a key ingredient that my mom would really enjoy.
Coming from a Middle Eastern household, once I saw tahini in this recipe, going straight to baking was a no brainer. I grabbed the bananas and the tahini and made the most delicious banana baked good ever! Thank you so much for this recipe, my mom and I loved it!

Mine had to cook about 10 mins longer, but didn’t dry out. My glaze did come out rather thick, and I only used 3/4 of the powdered sugar. Probably needed more milk. I would definitely make again. I bet it’s delicious even without the glaze.

My goodness, this was a real treat to enjoy. Surprisingly rich without being too sweet. I was truly blown away at how lovely the bake was. So easy to make too as I had all ingredients on hand. Used Trader Joe’s tahini, very creamy. Great call on tenting the foil, prevented too much browning on top. I’ll be making this many times over in the future. Please do a tik tok on this recipe. I love banana bread and this has to be one of my favourite recipes. The saltiness comes through but is balanced perfectly with the sweetness of the bananas and the icing. Had to cover with foil and keep for 20 minutes longer as it was still raw in the middle while browning on the outside. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
