My 1lb loaf tin was slightly too small (I did metric measurements as I’m in the UK) but I had a suspicion it might overflow so I had put a tray under the tin. I didn’t put butter in the icing and it was still scrumptious. Will definitely be making again!

I never make as much glaze as the recipe calls for, since I don’t like the messiness of it dripping down the cake. It was perfectly sweet with about half the icing amount.

Loaf is moist and not sweet at all which I loved. I was so pleased by the result and it has definitely become one of my favorites. I decided to add poppy seeds and it was amazing.
