I defaulted to the weight, because that’s what I usually do when baking but one pound of apples wasn’t close to enough to fill a pie pan. Is this something I should have known? I’m not a novice baker, buy it was my first apple pie. Curious to know for future pies!

You can!! You can blind bake if you want the crust to be super firm, but it’s totally fine without!

I’m making this pie today- I was watching the video for this Dutch apple pie and she used an all butter pie crust and baked it at 350 F for 50 mins and did not blind bake it. I also am using a homemade all butter crust- can I also just bake it for 50 mins without blind baking it?
