I made them for Christmas, but accidently put the wrong amount of butter (total dumb moment there) so they didn’t spread out well, but everyone still loved them! I was so bummed about it though, so I made them again a few days later with the right amount of butter this time and they came out amazing! I will be totally making these again for Christmas next year!

Me too! They tasted wonderful, but I didn’t get the cracked look on top. The baking soda I used was a fresh box that I purchased the day before making the cookies. Any ideas of why?

I’ve been making Ginger Cookies one way for decades. Then my family finally told me they found them a bit to ”snappy” so I decided to try a Snickerdoodle version. Tried one from a respected source – it was ok – not great. Just finished baking yours and I am impressed. A solid, simple recipe that produces an intense, chewy cookie with just the right texture. Good work!
